the latvian national opera's rendition of cinderella was unfortunately cancelled after just two shows, due to not getting permission from the original writer's estate. the part they probably didn't like? that they changed the new version's setting to a good old fashioned whorehouse.

It set the story in a brothel, with Cinderella working as a maid, her step-sisters as call girls and her stepmother as the brothel madam.
