silence is a rhythm too had a nice post the other day about "post-punk". among the mp3s posted was a great track by a scottish band called scars. super good. from their 1981 album author! author!. they alternate between a melodic, floaty verse and a dissonant, stabby chorus. maybe like wire meets flock of seagulls.
