the parish

oakland/berkeley band the parish have a great new record coming out. their sound could be described as country/indie rock. fuzzy guitar leads and boy-girl vocal harmonies. good stuff. macktronic likes them too.
bay area folks will be able to see them live at the hemlock on november 14. also on the bill is beach house, an excellent band from baltimore.
